Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 17, 2026

This policy explains what information Ajili.ma collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Overview

Ajili.ma connects travelers with local hosts across Morocco. This policy covers the account details, messages, and listing information involved in doing that — not payments, which happen directly between guests and hosts and never pass through our systems.

2. What we collect

  • Account information you provide, like your name and email address.
  • Verification details for hosts — email, phone number, and ID — used to display verification badges.
  • Messages you send through chat with hosts, guests, or our support team.
  • Listing content, including photos you upload when creating an experience.
  • Usage information including your IP address, country derived from that IP, visit count, and first and most recent visit times.

3. How we use it

We use this information to operate the platform: showing you relevant experiences, connecting you with hosts through chat, displaying verification badges, measuring visits by country using IP addresses, protecting the service, and improving the site. When you choose Generate response in chat, recent conversation text is sent to our configured AI provider only to prepare an editable reply draft; it is never sent automatically. We don't sell your personal information to third parties.

4. How it's shared

Your name, profile photo, and messages are visible to the host or guest you're chatting with. Public listing and profile information — like a host's bio, rating, and verification badges — is visible to anyone browsing the platform. We don't share your private account details with other users beyond what's needed to coordinate an experience.

5. Verification data

When a host verifies their email, phone number, or ID, we store only the confirmation that verification succeeded, not the underlying document itself, and show this to other users as a badge. We use this data solely to confirm the steps a host has completed — not to run background checks.

6. Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. See our Cookie Policy for details on the types of cookies we use and how to manage them.

7. Data retention

We keep your account and message data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain it for legal reasons.

8. Your rights

You can access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us. You can also update most of your account details directly from your profile.
