Community Guidelines

Last updated: August 17, 2026

Ajili.ma works because guests and hosts trust each other. These guidelines describe what we expect from everyone on the platform.

1. Why we have guidelines

Since Ajili.ma connects travelers with hosts through chat and leaves the details — including payment — to be worked out in person, trust between guests and hosts matters more here than on a typical marketplace. These guidelines exist to protect that trust.

2. Treat each other with respect

Discrimination, harassment, hate speech, or abusive language toward another user is never acceptable, whether in a message, a review, or a listing. This applies equally to how hosts treat guests and how guests treat hosts.

3. Be honest

Hosts should describe their experience accurately — including anything generated with our AI-assisted listing tool, which should be reviewed and edited before publishing. Guests should be upfront about group size, timing, and any special requests when messaging a host.

4. Communicate through the platform

Keep booking conversations in Ajili.ma's chat until you've confirmed the details with your host or guest. It keeps a clear record for both sides and makes it easier for our support team to help if something goes wrong.

5. Meeting and paying in person

Ajili.ma doesn't process payments — guests and hosts agree on price and pay each other directly when they meet. Confirm the meeting point, time, and price clearly in chat beforehand, and use the same judgment you would meeting anyone new: pick public meeting points when possible and trust your instincts.

6. Reviews

Reviews should reflect a genuine experience. Don't offer or accept anything in exchange for a review, and don't use reviews to harass another user or settle an unrelated dispute.

7. Reporting a problem

If a listing, message, or another user's behavior doesn't sit right with you, reach out through our support chat — our team reviews every report.

8. Consequences

Accounts that violate these guidelines may have listings removed or access to the platform restricted. Serious violations — harassment, discrimination, or fraud — can result in immediate removal from Ajili.ma.
